Call for entries for the German Balint Prize 2025

The German Balint Society is pleased to announce the Balint Prize for students of professions with self-designed, professional relationships with patients or clients in German-speaking countries. The prize money for the German Balint Prize is € 1,000. The winners of the German Balint Prize can also take part in the international competition (Ascona Prize) with a version of their work in English(www.foundation-ps.com). The work should deal with the emotional experiences surrounding the student's relationship with a patient or client during their studies or practical year: Encounters that have moved me, the patient, client or both of us - that have left their mark.

12th Summer School General Medicine

The twelfth General Practice Summer School will take place from August 21 to 25 in Hanover under the expert guidance of the team from the Institute of General Practice and Palliative Medicine Hanover; this year with the main topic "General Practice - professional and close".

The summer school is aimed at medical students in the clinical semesters.

SHK with non-academic parents from pre-clinical background wanted

Are you the first person in your family to study and looking for a part-time job?

DEGAM Academy for Young Scientists

We would like to inform you that the 2024 cohort of the Junior Academy of General Practice has been announced. For the third year in a row, we are offering 30 places.

In September 2011, the German Society for General Practice and Family Medicine (DEGAM) founded a junior academy with the aim of getting medical students interested in general practice at an early stage. DEGAM sees the promotion of young general practitioners as one of its central tasks.
